Well ain't this an interesting little diddy?

Last night I manipulated a picture I had taken from my game using the GIMP. It was a picture of Annabelle Kethrin using an Unleash Animale Spell, as you see below:

Below is the edited version, where Annabelle is shooting an unfortunate desk with a fire spell. The image was created and posted on The Sims 3 Facebook Page where the original caption was:
This is photoshopped but it represents an idea: wouldn't it be awesome if there was a spell that catches things on fire or makes them explode?

A simple idea on a simple pic right? No harm done?

WRONG!!!
Here is where things start to get interesting. I wake up and I see that The Sims 3 Facebook page uploaded new photos to an album called "Sims Casting Spells". Rather than skip past this because it is clearly photoshopped, and says so in the caption, someone did something or some-ish or another, and the photo not only showed up on the album as a pic, but on the ALBUM COVER IMAGE as well! Well, the funny part is people were talking about actually getting the spell book because of the image in the comments, so there is enough egg on my face to throw in some flour and call me a cake.

So sorry to all those who bought the item thinking you can shoot fire :/

Anyway, after a few hours it got me thinking: Why would they not only take that image, but put it on the album cover as well? Well, after some clever deducing using my own clever (yet strange) brain, my brain and I came up with the idea that they are working on a spell for the spell book that shoots fire and maybe, slightly, could have, used that as an unofficial teaser to advertise said fire spell.

Though they could have just picked the image because it looked cool.

Now while I have no evidence or anything pointing towards this deduction, I must say if they used my pic to secretly advertise a fire-shooting spell then frankly the awesomeness of that would make my head explode into confetti. But, it could just be a pipe dream eh? What do you think: Honest mistake? Clever advertising? Pipe-Dream by a dreamer in a pipe? Time will only tell. All I know is that if they did take my image to tease more spells then they had better give me SimPoints to buy them (please) :P

I'll keep you updated :)

A Major Idea and a couple things to say:

One, Coral Kethrin, a new alien Sim I created who is a successor to Annabelle Kethrin, is available on the exchange.
Personally I think she's one of the prettiest Sims I've ever made.

Two, I thought I'd share an idea I had regarding a new Expansion Pack.

THIS IS ALL HYPOTHETICAL!!!!

The idea is called the "World of Tomorrow" expansion, and it is basically one I had been thinking of for quite some time. The EP would return the game to Sunset Valley (or it's Sims 2 name Pleasantview) and take place 50 years after the Sims 2, where the town has become a futuristic wonderland filled with Aliens, Servos, and other creatures present in the second game. Some houses would be floating, hovercraft would be prevalent, and the whole thing would be reminiscent of the 2015 era of the Back to the Future films.

Teleporters could return in the same fashion as the ones from The Sims: House Party, you place them in your house and you teleport from one floor to the other, and a new death would be that teleporter field can collapse into itself like a black hole and crush the Sim using it. Technofuturistic stuff would be a common thing in Pleasantview, but some houses would have modern day items for Sims who don't want to live in the world of the future.

New objects would be the aforementioned hovercraft and teleporters, alien ships, house items like floating chairs, beds, holographic computers, rockets that you can jump in and land at a destination, and futuristic stuff like that.

Basically the idea is each house looks like this.

A new career would be "Starship Crewman". When it's time to leave for work, instead of a carpool, a small spaceship lands on the street in front of you. You climb in and it takes off to work, leaving a little beacon on the street that you could click for all the functions of a Rabbit-Hole job in the game (Business, Work Hard, etc).

A new skill would be robotics, you build robots like toy ones at first but as the game goes on you can build Servos (another playable creature), Servo Charging Stations, and the Bots from Open for Business: HydroBot, CleanBot, MunchieBot, and SentryBot with the same functions as in that game. Someone with Ambitions and World of Tomorrow could take SimBots and upgrade them into Servos, or just make them more functional with things like Sunlight Charging and the need to never eat, and even make them waterproof.

Aliens would be different than the ones in TS2, instead of green Sims like Coral there, Aliens could be a different looking species, like reptilians with scaly hair and tails or things of that nature.

Well I shared this idea just to get it out there, who knows if anyone from the game will actually take a gander at it.I know it's a pipe-dream, but if they made a game like this I would buy it INSTANTLY.

Three, I do plan to continue my story I started there, I am just taking a hiatus so I can come up with creative story ideas to take it. I do plan to start working on it within the next few weeks. Also, I plan to do a bit of a review for The Sims 3: Generations and even the other EPs, look for those within the next month.

KETHRIN Part One

Sunset Valley was a small coastal town in SimNation, founded by the Goths and built up by the Landgraabs. Sunset was home to a variety of different people: families and loners, artists and celebrities, Sunset Valley was growing steadily by the year.

Among the people living in Sunset Valley, Maria Kethrin was one of the few that intrigued the natives. She came from Bridgeport, apparently, and was born to a pair of high-status actors. Of course, Maria would never tell that to the people of the town, as she wanted to become famous on her own right. Only a few people actually knew of her heritage.

It was one night, as Maria was sleeping, that she heard a commotion. It woke her out of bed and she had started to run downstairs to see what had happened. Apparently, there was a massive explosion in her yard, as if something had come from the sky and crashed into the ground like a meteorite.

She ran downstairs to see what had happened when her eyes fell upon a large object in the middle of an impact crater. Her assumption that an object had fallen from the sky was correct, but she soon came to the realization that it was NO meteorite.
It was something far more different...

As Maria worked to put the resulting fires out, she failed to notice that she was being watched by someone not too far away...
