Young Again

So there you have it, Tom and Annabelle got young again after having families and got together once and for all. Kind of a mood whiplash from the last comic, wouldn't you say?

Goodbyes

This is how Tom and Annabelle get separated, and it's supposed to add a bit of a finality to the story until the one with Coral and Henry.

Featured Item: Party Animals

If I was one who went "squee" I probably would have done it when I logged into the Sims 3 page today. The second family I've ever created, this rowdy group of party animals you see above, was picked as a featured download by SimGuruHydra on the exchange!!! I got a badge and everything!

W00T!

You can get the family here: http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=4382342

Thanks for all the people who've downloaded it!

My PlantSim idea

I am working on my next story post but this is something I wanted to share. It's a concept design I did for a PlantSim, something that I did within about five minutes to draw, color, and take a pic of with my computer's camera.

Now I know what you're thinking: "PlantSims look like humans, they mutated in the second game because of fumigating too many trees" Well, this isn't the second game, and there is a reason they don't look human so hear me out.

My idea for PlantSims is relatively simple: After mastering the gardening skill, you get a special opportunity to find a series of objects, much like with the inventing skill and the SimBot.

The objects you need to find are:

*10 special seeds of any kind.
*A heart-shaped Blue Sapphire.
*10 life fruit
*10 apple seeds for male PlantSims or 10 watermelon seeds for female.
*A new diamond for whatever EP this creature appears in called a "Sun diamond".
*One omni-plant seed.

After finding all these, you bring them to the science facility where they give you a large incubation chamber of some sort, which you take back to your house and put it inside or outside. You water the incubation chamber, and tend to it like a regular garden, where after a few days a small pod grows out of it. After a few more days of tending to this thing, the pod grows to a huge size and then splits open, and this creature steps out of it.

A PlantSim would have the same motives as a regular Sim with three exceptions: instead of "Hunger" it would be "Water", the bladder motive would be covered in vines, and the "Energy" motive would be replaced with "Sunlight". The water motive is filled by drinking water at the sink, playing in the sprinklers, being outside in the rain (if it's a Seasons EP), swimming, and others. The "Sunlight" motive would be filled by being outside or using a special sun lamp.

OTHER IDEAS

GENERAL
*They move faster on terrain.
*When on terrain, they can "root" themselves and gain Sunlight and Water by standing still like any other plant.
*They have mouths, but this is just a formality because they don't need to actually "eat", in any case the inside of their mouth looks like the inside of a venus fly trap.
*They have the ability to touch the ground and create a pod, which grows into an infant PlantSim a few days later.
*They are attracted to parks and fishing spots.
*They are hard-coded with the "Green Thumb", "Eco-Friendly", and "Loves the Outdoors" traits.
*You can buy an incubation pod as a Lifetime Reward Object.

DEATH
*They catch on fire and burn faster than a mummy.
*They are nearly impossible to drown.
*If they run out of water they start to turn brown and wither until they are a pile of mulched leaves. Sims with the "Super Green Thumb" LTR can bring them back to life like any normal plant, after coming back to life the PlantSims get the "Horrified" moodlet for a few days.
*They don't like carrying Death Flowers around, and will try to take them out of their inventories because they are creeped out by them.

HUMOROUS INTERACTIONS
*They can socialize with plants in the same way a Simbot socializes with appliances.
*They will think Rubber Tree Plants are creepy.
*If they see a Sim eating a raw plant they will get the "Horrified" moodlet.
*If they grab a plate of Autumn Salad or any plant-based food they will look at it, get the "Horrified" moodlet, and run out of the house screaming.
*They can "mooch" fertilizer off of plants.

It wouldn't be too hard to do, and it would kinda be interesting.
